Metrofuncenter hosts a day of fun for brothers up for adoption

Charell, Johnell and Zyaire are African American brothers who earn good grades, get along well with other kids, and enjoy watching cartoons and listening to R&B and rap music.

Charell, born in 2006, is a helpful and well-behaved boy who thinks about his brothers before he thinks about himself. He enjoys playing basketball, building things, and learning about science and engineering at school. Johnell, born in 2010, is a well-behaved, helpful and sensitive boy who attaches to others easily. He enjoys seeing his siblings happy, playing basketball and football, watching the Cavs play, and learning about science at school. Zyaire, born in 2012, enjoys learning about math at school and watching ‘Paw Patrol’ and shows with mermaids. Charell, Johnell and Zyaire need a loving adoptive family who will provide them with the attention, support, encouragement, structure and nurturing environment they need to continue to thrive.

Wednesday’s Child Georgia

Wednesday’s Child (WC) is Georgia’s partnership with WAGA Fox 5 TV – Atlanta and the Georgia Division of Family and Children Services Permanency Unit. An award-winning program with a proven track record of success is a national campaign to increase the number of adoptions of children in foster care. The children featured on Wednesday’s Child are those in the most urgent need of a home. Many of these children are over the age of eight and have been in the foster care system for some time and desperately need a permanent place to call home.
